Well, it seems that I am very much in the minority with my opinion on this book but I really did walk through the first few chapters thinking that I'm not in Kansas anymore!ĭom Wars is kind of like a reality TV style show going out online and Lucian and Tara both try out to be top dom. I cannot wait for Book 2 to see where he takes their relationship to next. Lucian Bane, ineffable Dom and everything I need to make me submit to the Dom Wars Series. Hot, sexy, dominant, real, raw and funny. Plus, bonus! Dom Wars was funny, which I didn't expect either. When she finally submits to him in this book. I loved the most when he unleashed his true Dom and gave Tara exactly what she was craving. I can't wait to see him come to terms with the love he has for Tara, who is such a strong female and the ultimate challenge for him, and earn her total submission. I can't wait for the next books in this series. Doesn't mean he's not the one ultimately in control.
He's real and raw, and because he is a true Dom, he's not afraid to be vulnerable and human sometimes. That is what I loved so much about this book! That and the fact that Lucian Bane totally dominated my heart. How they too can be shaken, how falling in love can affect them, and how they too have their own issues to deal with. In Dom Wars you get to see deeper, into the human side of a Dom. Lucian Bane is a truly an ineffable Dom because he has all those qualities and isn't afraid to show them to us. Men who strive to earn the ultimate gift of submission from a woman. Men with a need to control out of love and respect. They are always in control, never shaken, but in reality, all Doms are just men. In most D/s stories you don't get to see the human side of the Dom. A man who is ineffably confident, strong, and secure in who he is and that allows him the freedom to be totally loving, open, and honest. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but the more I read the more I realized that this book strikes at the heart of what it truly means to be dominated by a man. It was totally hot, but I can't tell you how surprised I was to meet a whole new type of Dom in this book.
With D/s being pushed so hard and fast into the mainstream, I thought it would be your typical Dom meets girl, Dom Makes girl submit through spanking and flogging, totally hot. I have to say I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this book.
